- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- All-purpose flour (for dusting)
- Optional: Italian seasoning, garlic powder
Instructions
- Divide your pizza dough into 4 equal portions.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 6 to 8 inch circle.
- Spread 2 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto the center of each dough circle, leaving about a half-inch border around the edge.
- Top the sauce with shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings.
- Fold the clean half of the dough over the filling, creating a half-moon shape, and press the edges together.
- Use a fork to crimp and seal the calzones completely.
- Brush the top of each calzone with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning or garlic powder if desired.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and place 1 to 2 calzones in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch.
- Air fry the calzones for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Let the calzones cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
