Description
Bacon Wrapped Chicken is a mouthwatering dish that combines the irresistible flavors of juicy chicken and crispy, salty bacon, enhanced with a delicious honey garlic glaze.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with foil and lightly grease it.
2. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the chicken breasts.
3. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of turkey bacon, overlapping the ends to create a nice, tight wrap. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken in the prepared baking dish.
4. Bake for 25 minutes. While the chicken is baking, make the honey garlic glaze by simmering honey, garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan.
5. After 25 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush the honey garlic glaze all over the top. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
Notes
For a healthier twist, you can use regular chicken breasts instead of boneless, skinless.
Feel free to swap out the turkey bacon for regular pork bacon if preferred.
Adjust the ratio of sweet to savory in the glaze to suit your taste preferences.
