Description
Imagine the irresistible aroma of freshly baked banana bread, swirled with the comforting flavors of cinnamon and sugar.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup (120 ml) melted unsalted butter
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (80 g) brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup (60 ml) milk
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar, sifted
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. Then, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the filling. Set aside.
3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the surface.
4. Gently roll the dough into a log from the long side. Slice the log into 8-10 even rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and cooked through. Allow them to cool slightly.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and powdered sugar until smooth to create the delectable glaze.
7. Drizzle the warm Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls with the creamy glaze and serve. Enjoy the perfect fusion of banana bread and cinnamon roll flavors in every bite!
Notes
For the best banana flavor, use ripe bananas with plenty of brown speckles. Overripe bananas will give your Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls an even more intense banana taste.
Be careful not to overmix the dough, as this can result in tough, dense rolls. Mix the ingredients just until they’re combined, and be gentle when rolling and shaping the dough.
These Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the microwave or oven before serving for a warm, gooey treat.
