These BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers are a fun and flavorful twist on a classic burger. The combination of ground beef, crumbled bacon, and melted cheddar cheese, all topped with BBQ sauce and stuffed in tender bell peppers, creates a mouthwatering dish. Perfect for a family dinner or a game-day snack, these peppers are packed with flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or oil and arrange the peppers upright inside.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add the diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are softened. Stir in the BBQ sauce, crumbled bacon, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  3. Stuff the Peppers:
Spoon the beef mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly. Top each pepper with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake:
Place the stuffed peppers in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers!

Notes

  • You can substitute turkey bacon for a lighter option.
  • For extra flavor, top the peppers with a drizzle of additional BBQ sauce just before serving.
  • If you prefer softer peppers, bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until they reach your desired tenderness.
