Description
Beef Cheese Burritos are a Tex-Mex classic that combines tender ground beef, gooey melted cheese, and savory seasonings wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef along with the diced onion until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
2. Stir in the garlic powder, cumin, and paprika, making sure to coat the beef evenly with the spices.
3. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Melt the cheeses together, creating a creamy mixture.
4. Lay out a tortilla and spoon a generous portion of the beef and cheese mixture onto the center. Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly.
5. For an extra crispy exterior, you can lightly toast each burrito in a skillet for 1-2 minutes per side. This step is optional.
6. Cut your Beef Cheese Burritos in half, if desired, and serve them warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
