Description

These Beef Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls are a spicy, crispy delight that combines savory ground beef, creamy cheese, and zesty jalapeños, all wrapped in a crunchy egg roll. Perfect for appetizers or game day snacks, these egg rolls are sure to please any crowd!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1012 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Prepare the Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, with one corner facing you. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the beef mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal. Use a little water on the edges to help seal if needed. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Fry the Egg Rolls: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the egg rolls in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve: Enjoy your Beef Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls hot, with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

  • For extra heat, use more jalapeños or add diced serrano peppers.
  • These egg rolls can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying. Just fry them directly from the freezer, adding a minute or two to the cooking time.
  • Serve with ranch dressing or spicy mayo for dipping.
