Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound sirloin or ribeye steak tips
- 12 ounce rigatoni pasta
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, plus more to taste
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak tips generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak tips and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak tips from the skillet and set them aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, plus a pinch of Cajun seasoning. Whisk everything together until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thick and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water or milk to thin it out to your desired consistency.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the cheesy Cajun sauce. Return the seared steak tips to the skillet and toss everything together until everything is heated through and evenly combined.
- Garnish the Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Rigatoni Parmesan Sauce with fresh chopped parsley. Serve the dish hot.
Notes
To prepare Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Rigatoni Parmesan Sauce ahead of time, you can cook the steak tips and sauce separately. Sear the steak tips to your desired doneness and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For the sauce, prepare it as directed, then allow it to cool before transferring it to a separate container. When ready to serve, reheat the steak tips in a skillet to warm them through, and gently reheat the sauce on low heat, stirring occasionally.
