Crispy Cheeseburger Eggrolls Recipe for a Fun Snack

  • Author: Time of Recipes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 eggrolls 1x

Description

Cheeseburger Eggrolls are a delicious fusion snack that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the crispy texture of an eggroll. These savory bites are perfect for parties, game days, or any occasion when you want to tantalize your taste buds with a unique and satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% or 93% lean recommended)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 eggroll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it into small crumbles. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions to the skillet and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup and mustard, mixing until well combined. Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. To assemble the eggrolls, place a heaping tablespoon of the beef filling onto the center of each eggroll wrapper.
  5. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, rolling tightly until you reach the top corner. Wet the top corner with water to seal the eggroll.
  6. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Carefully add the wrapped eggrolls to the hot oil, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Drain the fried eggrolls on a paper towel-lined plate before serving.

Notes

Cheeseburger Eggrolls can be made ahead of time and frozen. Prepare the eggrolls, freeze them uncooked, and fry them directly from the freezer when ready to serve.
