Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. -
Prepare the Beef Mixture:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Let it cool slightly. -
Roll Out the Dough:
Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Spread an even layer of ketchup and mustard over the dough. -
Assemble the Pinwheels:
Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the dough, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the longer side. -
Slice and Bake:
Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. -
Bake:
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. -
Serve:
Enjoy the pinwheels warm with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, BBQ, or extra ketchup and mustard!
Notes
- For an extra crispy texture, you can use puff pastry instead of pizza dough.
- Add pickles or sautéed onions for more flavor and variety.
- These pinwheels can be frozen before baking. Just freeze them on a tray and then bake directly from the freezer when ready.
