Description
Cheesy Burrata Crostini with Prosciutto and Peaches is a sophisticated yet easy-to-make appetizer that showcases the perfect balance of creamy, savory, and sweet flavors, making it the ultimate summer starter.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of sourdough or French baguette, sliced
- 4 ounces of prosciutto
- 8 ounces of burrata cheese, at room temperature
- 2 peaches, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Hot honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, grated Pecorino cheese, grated garlic, fresh thyme leaves, and melted butter. Spread this savory mixture evenly over each slice of bread, then arrange the slices on the prepared baking sheet.
3. Pop the bread slices in the preheated oven and toast them for 10-12 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them to ensure they don’t burn.
4. Once the crostini are out of the oven and slightly cooled, it’s time to add the toppings. Top each piece of toasted bread with a generous portion of burrata cheese, followed by a slice of prosciutto and a slice of fresh peach.
Notes
These Cheesy Burrata Crostini are best served immediately while warm and crisp. Drizzle with hot honey for extra sweetness and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
For a vegetarian version, omit the prosciutto and use more peaches or figs.
