Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared casserole dish, pressing it evenly to cover the bottom.
  • Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meatloaf, smoothing them out with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potatoes, followed by the crumbled bacon and chopped green onions.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the casserole is heated through.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
