Ingredients
- 12 ounces of penne pasta
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Add the cooked penne, browned ground beef, mozzarella, and Parmesan to the skillet. If desired, stir in heavy cream. Toss until cheese is melted and well combined.
5. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
For a creamier texture, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream.
Consider using a leaner ground beef or turkey for a healthier option.
