Description
Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna is the ultimate fall dessert that combines the best of both worlds – the warm, comforting flavors of cinnamon rolls and the sweet, fruity delight of apple pie.
Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 4 cup apple pie filling
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping
- Caramel sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Separate the cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside. Flatten each roll slightly and place half of them on the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
2. Bake the bottom layer of cinnamon rolls for about 10 minutes, until they’re slightly puffed but not fully cooked.
3. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
4. In another bowl, mix the apple pie filling with the cinnamon and nutmeg (if using).
5. Spread half of the apple mixture over the baked cinnamon roll layer. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon rolls, apple mixture, and cream mixture.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the lasagna is bubbly and golden.
Notes
To ensure your Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna turns out perfectly every time, bake the bottom layer of cinnamon rolls just until slightly puffed to prevent them from becoming too soft or soggy in the final dish. Store any leftover Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3-4 days.
