Ingredients
- 3–4 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounce penne pasta
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper until they’re browned and cooked through, approximately 6-8 minutes.
3. Reduce the heat in the skillet and stir in the softened cream cheese and ranch seasoning mix. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
4. Add the cooked penne to the skillet and toss everything until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta, then cover the skillet and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
