Description

Get ready to embark on a flavor adventure with these incredible Cranberry Glazed BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs! This delectable dish combines the sweet and tangy notes of cranberry sauce with the smoky richness of BBQ and the savory indulgence of bacon and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef – 1 pound (lean)

  • Breadcrumbs – ½ cup

  • Cheddar cheese (shredded) – 1 cup

  • Cooked bacon (crumbled) – 4 slices

  • BBQ sauce – ½ cup + extra for glaze

  • Cranberry sauce – ½ cup + extra for glaze

  • Egg – 1 large

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

Glaze

  • BBQ sauce – ½ cup

  • Cranberry sauce – ½ cup

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Generously spray the foil with cooking spray.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, BBQ sauce, cranberry sauce, egg, salt, and pepper. Using your hands or a sturdy spoon, mix all the ingredients together until they are evenly incorporated.

3. With your hands, gently roll the meat mixture into small, uniform meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter. Place the shaped meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Once the meatballs are shaped, place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the Cranberry BBQ Glaze. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts BBQ sauce and cranberry sauce. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it’s warmed through and well combined.

6. Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush them generously with the Cranberry BBQ Glaze. Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with any extra crumbled bacon or chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

These meatballs are incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Serve them as an appetizer for your next gathering, with toothpicks for easy handling. They also make a delightful main dish when accompanied by a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or a serving of creamy mashed potatoes.

If you have any leftover meatballs, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, simply place the meatballs in a baking dish and warm them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
