Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen pierogi
  • 1 pound turkey sausage
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. 1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced turkey sausage and cook until it’s browned and crispy. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.

2. 2. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

3. 3. Add the frozen pierogi to the skillet and cook according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden brown and tender.

4. 4. Stir in the heavy cream, sour cream, dried dill, salt, and pepper. Cook until the sauce is heated through and the flavors have melded together.

5. 5. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook, stirring, until the spinach has wilted.
