Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound chicken breasts or boneless thighs
- 2 cup chicken broth
- 8 ounce cream cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 12 ounce pasta (penne, rotini, or fusilli)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. Scatter the minced garlic over the chicken, then top with cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chicken broth.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender.
4. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the sauce.
5. In the last 20 minutes, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and add to the slow cooker.
6. Stir in heavy cream or half-and-half to create a creamy texture.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
