Description
Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken is a flavorful and effortless slow-cooked dish combining tender chicken, tangy teriyaki sauce, and sweet pineapple chunks.
Ingredients
- 2 pound chicken thighs
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly grease the interior of your crockpot or slow cooker to prevent sticking.
2. Add the Ingredients: Place the chicken thighs in the prepared crockpot. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, then add the pineapple chunks and sliced bell pepper.
3. Cook to Perfection: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
4. Serve and Enjoy: Once the cooking time is up, remove the chicken and vegetables from the crockpot. Slice the chicken if desired, and serve over a bed of fluffy rice or noodles, spooning the extra sauce over the top.
Notes
Feel free to swap out the bell pepper for other veggies like broccoli, carrots, or snap peas.
While chicken thighs are the star, you can also use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or even tofu for a vegetarian option.
Adjust the amount of teriyaki sauce to your taste, adding more for a stronger flavor or less for a more subtle profile.
