Description

Calling all cheese and bacon lovers! Get ready to indulge in a mouthwatering Double Cheese Bacon Burger Skillet that’s sure to satisfy your cravings. This one-pan wonder combines juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, and a double dose of melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese for a flavor explosion in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Start by cooking the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy. Once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside.

2. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is fully browned. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.

3. Add the garlic powder, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the browned beef and onion. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

4. Once the beef mixture has simmered, stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until they are fully melted and incorporated.

5. For the finishing touch, sprinkle the crispy bacon on top of the cheesy beef mixture. If desired, you can also add some chopped pickles and green onions for a little extra flavor and crunch.

Notes

The Double Cheese Bacon Burger Skillet can be enjoyed on its own as a hearty main dish, or you can serve it over a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes or cooked rice for a more filling meal. You can also scoop the skillet mixture onto burger buns for a delicious cheeseburger-inspired sandwich.
