Ingredients
- 12 ounce bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
4. Stir in the heavy cream, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Reduce heat to low, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
6. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat each noodle in the sauce.
7. Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
To make the dish healthier, opt for lean ground beef, use low-fat dairy products, and incorporate more vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
