These crispy, Garlic Parmesan Smashed Potatoes are the ultimate side dish that combines creamy potatoes with savory garlic, Parmesan, and a touch of butter. Perfectly roasted to golden brown, these smashed potatoes are packed with flavor and crunch, making them a crowd-pleasing treat for any meal.
Ingredients

1 ½ pounds baby potatoes (red or Yukon Gold work best) 
- 
3 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin preferred)

3 cloves garlic, minced 
- 
½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper 
- 
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish) 
Instructions
- 
Boil Potatoes: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add baby potatoes and cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and let cool slightly. 
- 
Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. 
- 
Smash Potatoes: Place boiled potatoes on the baking sheet. Use a fork or potato masher to gently press each potato down until flattened but still intact. 
- 
Season & Bake: Mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Brush over each smashed potato. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden brown. 
- 
Add Parmesan & Butter: Remove from the oven, drizzle melted butter over the potatoes, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt. 
- 
Garnish & Serve: Top with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot. Enjoy!

For extra flavor, sprinkle a little extra Parmesan on top of the potatoes before serving.

You can substitute olive oil with melted butter for a richer taste.
