  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  • Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  • Coat the Chicken:
    Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the honey garlic sauce over them. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to absorb the flavors.
  • Serve:
    Garnish the Honey Garlic Chicken with chopped green onions and serve with rice, vegetables, or your favorite side dish. Enjoy!

  • For a thicker sauce, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water and add it to the sauce while simmering.
