  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, and yellow)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 14.5 ounce diced tomatoes (1 can)
  • 8 ounce tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until it’s browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

3. Add the sliced bell peppers, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté the mixture until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.

5. Carefully transfer the sausage and vegetable mixture to the prepared casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.

6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.

7. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
