Delightful Korean BBQ Steak Bowls: A Flavor-Packed Meal
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup kimchi
- 1 cup cucumber slices
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
3. Divide the cooked rice into individual serving bowls. Top each bowl with the sliced Korean BBQ Steak, kimchi, cucumber slices, julienned carrots, and avocado slices.
4. Sprinkle the Korean BBQ Steak Bowls with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro (if desired). Serve immediately and enjoy the harmonious blend of flavors and textures in every bite!
