Description

The Maple Bacon Waffle Burger is a unique culinary creation that combines the sweet and savory flavors of maple-glazed bacon, a juicy beef patty, and fluffy homemade waffles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Thick-cut bacon
  • Maple syrup
  • Brown sugar
  • Ground beef (80/20)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Fresh large eggs

Instructions

1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together wet ingredients: milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

4. Heat waffle maker, grease lightly, and cook waffles until golden brown.

5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.

6. Arrange bacon slices on the sheet and brush with maple syrup, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper (optional).

7. Bake bacon for 15-20 minutes until crispy and caramelized.

8. Let bacon rest on a wire rack.

9. In a bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

10. Form mixture into six patties.

11. Grill or pan-fry patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.

12. Top patties with cheese during the last minute of cooking.

13. In a skillet, melt butter and fry eggs to desired doneness.

14. Assemble the burger starting with a waffle, followed by the patty, bacon, fried egg, and drizzle with maple syrup, topping with another waffle.

Notes

Consider serving with crispy fries or a fresh salad.

Make waffles ahead of time and reheat before serving.

Substitute bacon with plant-based alternatives if desired.

For a healthier option, use leaner beef, whole-wheat or gluten-free waffles, and skip the cheese.
