Maple Chicken & Bacon Sliders: A Sweet and Savory Delight
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 slices crispy beef bacon
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- Fresh arugula or spinach (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl. Add thinly sliced chicken breasts and ensure they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
2. Cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
3. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place bottom halves on a baking sheet.
4. Layer a slice of crispy bacon and a portion of marinated chicken slices onto each bottom bun.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and buns are lightly toasted.
6. Top with fresh arugula or spinach if desired, place top halves of buns on sliders, and serve warm.
