Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 9 ounce cheese-filled tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cup fresh spinach
- 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mincing the garlic.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chicken until it’s golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain the pasta, reserving some pasta water.
5. Reduce the heat in the skillet and stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
6. Add the drained tortellini, spinach, and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss until evenly coated and the cheese has melted into the sauce.
7. Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Cook the chicken thoroughly to prevent it from becoming rubbery.
Don’t overcook the tortellini; follow package instructions carefully.
Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
