Description

These Melty Mac & Cheese Burger Tacos combine three comfort food favorites into one irresistible dish! Seasoned ground beef and creamy mac & cheese are layered in warm flour tortillas for a family-friendly fusion meal that’s ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 box macaroni and cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream

Instructions

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning packet and cook according to package instructions. Set aside.
  • Cook the macaroni and cheese according to the box instructions. Once cooked, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and butter until melted and creamy.
  • Heat the flour tortillas in a separate skillet until warm and pliable.
  • To assemble the tacos, spoon a generous amount of the mac & cheese onto each tortilla, followed by a scoop of the taco meat.
  • Top with optional toppings such as diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sour cream.
  • Serve hot and enjoy the delicious combination of melty mac & cheese with seasoned ground beef in a taco form.

Notes

  • For extra-cheesy tacos, sprinkle additional shredded cheddar on top before serving.
  • Try corn tortillas instead of flour for a different flavor and texture.
  • The mac & cheese should be creamy but not runny for best results when assembling tacos.
  • If serving a crowd, set up a taco bar so everyone can customize their own.
