Description

One-Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta is the ultimate comforting, family-friendly meal that’s a cinch to prepare. This cheesy, flavorful dish combines juicy chicken, rich marinara sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta all in a single pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounce marinara sauce
  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounce penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

1. In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pot and set it aside.

2. In the same pot, add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.

3. Pour in the marinara sauce and chicken broth. Add the uncooked pasta and Italian seasoning, stirring well to combine.

4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

5. Return the cooked chicken to the pot. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy.

6. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting, one-pot meal.

Notes

To ensure your One-Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta turns out perfectly every time, keep these tips in mind:

– Keep a close eye on the pasta during the simmering process and don’t overcook it.

– Be sure to stir the pot regularly while the pasta is simmering to prevent sticking or burning on the bottom.
