  • 2 cup water
  • 1 package (20 ounce) cheese tortellini, fresh or frozen

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onions
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for about 3–5 minutes.

2. Add the uncooked tortellini, water, dried minced onions, paprika, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir to combine.

3. Cover and bring to a simmer, cooking for about 8–10 minutes until the tortellini is almost done.

4. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional minute or two.

5. Remove the lid and let the liquids reduce for a few minutes. Lower the heat to medium-low.

6. Stir in the Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

7. Continue cooking until the cheese is fully melted, about 2–4 minutes.

8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with parsley if desired.
