Description
Lasagna is a beloved Italian classic, but traditional layered versions can be time-consuming to prepare. Enter the genius of One-Pot Skillet Lasagna – a recipe that delivers all the flavors of this comfort-food favorite with a fraction of the effort.
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1½ cups water
8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella
¼ cup grated Parmesan
Fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Brown the Meat: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or Italian sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
2. Add Sauce and Noodles: Stir in the minced garlic, then pour in the marinara sauce and water. Add the broken lasagna noodles and stir to combine.
3. Simmer the Mixture: Cover and simmer on medium heat for 15–18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
4. Incorporate the Cheese: Dollop ricotta over the top and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly. Cover 3 minutes more to melt.
5. Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot and bubbly!
Notes
Keep a close eye on the noodles, stirring to prevent sticking. Add a splash of water if the mixture becomes too thick. Adjust heat to maintain a gentle simmer.
