Description
Pineapple BBQ Pork Skewers: A Tropical Twist on Grilling
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 fresh pineapple, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the pork cubes, pineapple chunks, red onion, and bell pepper. Pour the marinade over the ingredients and toss gently to ensure everything is evenly coated.
3. Carefully thread the marinated pork, pineapple, onion, and bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients for a visually appealing presentation.
4. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Place the skewers directly on the grill grates and let them sizzle for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
5. Brush the skewers with extra BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for a glaze.
Notes
You can prepare Pineapple BBQ Pork Skewers in advance. Marinate the pork for at least 30 minutes or overnight for more flavor. Keep assembled skewers covered and refrigerated until ready to grill.
