Pizza Bombs: Easy Homemade Recipe for Tasty Bites

  • Author: Amelia Sullivan
  • Total Time: 22-25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 pizza bombs (1 serving = 1 pizza bomb) 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Pizza Bombs are the perfect bite-sized snack, packed with all your favorite pizza ingredients like mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni, and pizza sauce. These soft, golden, and cheesy pockets are brushed with garlic butter for an irresistible finish. Whether you’re serving them as an appetizer, party snack, or quick meal, they’re guaranteed to be a crowd favorite!

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Bombs:

  • 1 can (8-count) Southern Homestyle buttermilk biscuits, not flaky

  • 1 cup (257 g) pizza sauce, divided

  • ½ cup (69 g) mini pepperoni slices, divided

  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 16 equal-sized cubes, divided

Garlic Butter:

  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt

  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Prepare Biscuits: Flatten each biscuit and add 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce, 1 tablespoon of mini pepperoni, and 1 cube of mozzarella cheese in the center.

  • Form Bombs: Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling and pinch to seal.

  • Arrange & Bake: Place the pizza bombs on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese.

  • Brush & Serve: Brush the garlic butter over the warm pizza bombs and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, swap out the pepperoni for vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.

  • You can also use store-bought garlic bread seasoning in place of the garlic salt and Italian seasoning for an even quicker prep.
