Cheesy Bacon BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleasing dish that’s perfect for gatherings, game days, or any time you crave the perfect balance of savory and sweet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs pork shoulder (also known as pork butt or Boston butt)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (choose a bold, tangy, or sweet variety)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 812 soft slider buns (or dinner rolls/Hawaiian rolls)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
  • Sliced red onions and fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparing the Pork

  1. Season the pork shoulder with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the seared pork to a slow cooker, pour barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar over it, and cook on low for 8 hours.

Shredding and Mixing the Pork

  1. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  2. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with any remaining barbecue sauce.

Assembling the Sliders

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  3. Generously pile the shredded BBQ pork on each bun, then top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  4. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese and pork, then bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Serving and Garnishing

  1. Remove the sliders from the oven and garnish with sliced red onions and fresh parsley.
  2. Serve warm, ideally paired with coleslaw, baked beans, or a simple salad.

Notes

You can prepare the pulled pork in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat before assembling the sliders. Feel free to customize toppings to your liking!
