A flavorful and effortless family favorite featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy ranch-infused sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 ounce) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. If desired, sear the chicken breasts in a skillet with olive oil until browned.
2. In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
3. Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot and pour the sauce over the top.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
5. In the last 10 minutes of cooking, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and allow it to melt.
6. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a twist, use shredded chicken in tacos or salads. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
