Description
A deliciously indulgent burger that combines a juicy beef patty, creamy mac and cheese, crispy bacon, and a kick of cayenne pepper for a flavor explosion!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef: 80/20 blend for juiciness.
- Salt and black pepper: Essential seasonings.
- 4 slices cheddar cheese: Classic melty cheese.
- 4 burger buns: Your choice of type—brioche, whole wheat, or classic white.
- 4 slices cooked bacon: Crispy and flavorful.
- 1 cup prepared mac and cheese: Homemade or store-bought.
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper: Adjust for heat tolerance.
Instructions
Making the Patties
Shape the ground beef into four patties, larger than the buns. Season with salt and pepper, and let rest for 10 minutes.
Cooking Methods
- Grilling: Preheat grill to medium-high, cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Skillet cooking: Heat cast-iron skillet, add oil, and cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
Use a meat thermometer to check for 160°F for medium doneness. Add cheese to melt during the last flip.
Preparing Spicy Mac and Cheese
Use prepared mac and cheese, adding cayenne pepper for spice, or make your own!
Assembling the Burger
Toast buns lightly. On the bottom half, place bacon, followed by the patty, then top with spicy mac and cheese. Cap with the other half of the bun and serve immediately!
Notes
For a lighter option, use ground turkey or a veggie patty. You can also customize with different cheeses or toppings to suit your taste.
