Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 8 ounce egg noodles (or other noodles of your choice)
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup snap peas or green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Toss the thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the sauce.
3. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
5. Add sliced bell pepper, onion, and snap peas or green beans to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
6. Add the cooked noodles and prepared sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together until noodles are evenly coated and heated through.
7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Consider adding fresh herbs such as cilantro or basil for a burst of freshness. You can also incorporate a splash of lime juice or rice vinegar just before serving to brighten the dish.
