Description

Sticky Pigs in Blankets are bite-sized appetizers combining mini sausages wrapped in crispy bacon and coated in a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini sausages
  • 6 slices streaky bacon
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap each sausage snugly with a half slice of bacon, seam-side down on the baking sheet.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.

4. Brush the glaze over each wrapped sausage evenly.

5. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip each sausage and brush with remaining glaze.

6. Return to the oven for another 10-12 minutes until bacon is crispy and glaze is caramelized.

7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider placing the pigs in blankets on a wire rack while baking.

You can make these ahead of time and reheat before serving.
