Description
A delightful fusion of smoky, tangy BBQ and sweet, juicy peaches in meatballs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cup peach preserves
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1/2 cup whiskey or bourbon
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Gently mix the ingredients until they’re just combined, being careful not to overmix. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they’re cooked through and lightly browned. Once they’re done, remove them from the oven and set them aside.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the Whiskey Peach BBQ Sauce. In a large saucepan or slow cooker, whisk together the peach preserves, BBQ sauce, chili sauce, whiskey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it’s well combined and smooth.
- Gently add the cooked meatballs to the sauce, stirring to ensure they’re evenly coated. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 2 hours. If using the stovetop, simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through and the sauce has reached your desired consistency.
